September 1st 2015. Pick of the Day.
New York City's premiere resource for classic film screenings in the metropolitan area. Offering reviews, recommendations, venues and a host of links keeping classic film and the silver screens alive.

The projection booth pajama party be thus;

Today's Pick? I'm cutting to it today. Interesting field, but nothing bests the twin bill of the original Swedish INTERMEZZO, the film responsible for bringing star Ingrid Bergman to Hollywood, and NOTORIOUS, one of the star's finest turns, certainly her best work with director Alfred Hitchcock. Both unspool in glorious 35mm as part of the just-begun series Ingrid Bergman: A Centennial Celebration, which goes on for ten more days at MoMA before puddle-hopping west to the Brooklyn Academy of Music. For a centennial or a millenium or eternity, we'll always have Ingrid.

P. S. The warmer, fiercer cuddle of the sun's sunnier disposition has begun its annual wane, but believe it or not some of our fellow NY'ers have still yet to be made whole in the wake of the 2012 storm.
