Today's Pick? I'm going with MoMA's supremely intriguing series focusing on a filmmaker well-regarded in his day but overshadowed since by his contemporary and fellow countryman, the legendary Ingmar Bergman. Indeed, a famous actor as well as a director, he appeared in 3 of Bergman's early efforts, as well as most of his own output. I've not seen any of his work, so I'm serious about not letting this series pass without my attendance. Hopefully I'm there tonight. If I'm detained by life's little problems, förbannelser!

Hasse Ekman's THE GIRL FROM THE THIRD ROW and THE HALO IS SLIPPING screen today in glorious 35mm at MoMA as part of the series The Other Swede in the Room. Remember, the silningsutrymmet is food and drink free, so be sure to äta your poppade majs and läsk in the gallerier. But that went without saying, no?

P. S. The warmer, fiercer cuddle of the sun's sunnier disposition has begun its annual wane, but believe it or not some of our fellow NY'ers have still yet to be made whole in the wake of the 2012 storm.
