Today's Pick? I'm cuttin' to the chase; the Cronenberg Horror Weekend at Astoria's Museum of the Moving Image, which boasts a trip-feat of the cracked Canadian's THE BROOD, VIDEODROME, and RABID, all accessible for the generous admission cost of $12 and which also grants you perusal rights to the museum proper betwixt frightmares. Should ya be seekin' extra cred this spoooooky eve you'll have plenty of time to hightail it back to Manhattan for a screening of Wes Craven's seminal wisecracking slasher A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema. At that point you should be so stuffed with popcorn and candy that the scariest proposition will be a scarcity of Pepto Bismol on the druggist's shelves. But hey, worry about November when it gets here, this is HALLOWEEN! Sin accordingly!
